Guy Ritchie directs this British black comedy. Eddie is a young card sharp from London who makes his living from cards and small, not-so-profitable deals. Together with Bacon, Soap and Tom, his lifelong friends, he scrapes together 100 000 pounds to bet on an ambitious game of three-card brag. The host is Harry the Hatchet, a local gangster whose reputation precedes him at every table. Eddie believes his talent will give him the edge and sits down to play with everyone's money. But the game doesn't go as planned, and the deadline to answer to the gangster starts ticking. The conflict is set: the four of them have to find a way to pay off a debt that nobody can afford.
