Synopsis of Primeval
A team of British scientists is tasked with investigating temporal anomalies that appear in Great Britain. Creatures from Earth's past and future cross through these holes in the time barrier. The group, led by Nick Cutter, played by Douglas Henshall, must figure out what causes these openings and how to face what comes through them. Some of these beasts are ferocious, others harmless, but all are strange because they don't belong in the present day. Created by Adrian Hodges and Tim Haines and broadcast on ITV1, the series puts humanity's survival at stake against a threat that arrives from other times.
