More than a toy... he's your best friend.

Directed by Lars Klevberg, the film opens at Kaslan Corporation, a multinational that has just launched Buddi, a line of high-tech dolls designed to keep their owners company for life. These toys learn from their surroundings and react accordingly thanks to artificial intelligence, and the product quickly becomes a global hit. At a Kaslan assembly plant in Vietnam, an employee with an exhausting workload is fired and insulted by his supervisor. The protagonist refuses to accept this treatment and wants revenge on the person who humiliated him, and the conflict is set up from the very beginning.

Trivia about Child's Play

Mark Hamill was chosen to voice Chucky, replacing Brad Dourif in the role.
According to Seth Grahame-Smith, the studio did not expect Mark Hamill to accept the role of Chucky, and in the end he was their first choice.
The company MastersFX took six weeks to prepare and assemble seven practical animatronic dolls with interchangeable arms and heads.
Bear McCreary composed the score with a toy orchestra inspired by Chucky's origins in a toy store, featuring toy pianos, hurdy-gurdies, accordions, plastic guitars and otamatones.
