Dressed in an extravagant devil suit, Elton John walks through the door of a drug rehab session. As "The Bitch Is Back" plays, he begins to look back on his life, and each memory leads into the next. The story is set in London and covers the years when the protagonist is trying to make it in music. Directed by Dexter Fletcher, the film stars Taron Egerton as John from beginning to end. Egerton also sings the songs, and the story is built around those numbers, which serve as the starting point for each scene from the past.
