Synopsis of Cathedral of the Sea
In 14th-century Barcelona, under the Crown of Aragon, the city enters one of the most prosperous periods of its history. Its growth reaches La Ribera, a humble fishing neighborhood where the church of Santa María del Mar begins to rise. There arrives Arnau Estanyol, the youngest son of the serf Bernat, who flees with him from the abuses of the feudal lords. Father and son seek a better life in a city that is not waiting for them. Arnau works as a groom, dockworker and soldier, and aspires to stop being a serf and become a free man. The series, created by Rodolf Sirera and starring Aitor Luna and Michelle Jenner, airs on Antena 3.
