Synopsis of The Testaments
Five years after the end of The Handmaid's Tale, Gilead remains a dystopian theocracy where young women grow up knowing their destiny is to marry and obey. Agnes Mackenzie is a teenager raised entirely within the regime, a girl at the top of the hierarchy. Daisy arrives from outside its borders and must adapt to a world she does not know. Both live under the threat of arranged marriages and a life of strict obedience. To survive and grow in this environment, they need allies, both new and old. Created by Bruce Miller and streaming on Hulu, the series follows their path into adulthood under Gilead's strictest rules.
