What Season 1 of Peaky Blinders

Birmingham, shortly after World War I. The Shelbys, a family of mixed Irish and Romani origin, run the Peaky Blinders and a betting shop. Thomas, the ringleader, is ambitious and shrewd, and wants to expand the business. But Chief Inspector Chester Campbell arrives from Belfast with a mission: to wipe out the street gangs. Thomas thus faces an official enemy just as determined to win as he is. The season kicks off with a lost shipment of guns, which Thomas seizes to get ahead. Then wars break out with the Lees and police pressure to force the gang to surrender its weapons.
