What Season 2 of Six Feet Under

Season 2 picks up with Nate's condition, an arteriovenous malformation that can be fatal and that he keeps secret while he runs the funeral home with David. The two brothers keep learning how to run the family business. Ruth returns to self-help seminars to reinvent her life and build an independent existence. Claire keeps her rebellious streak and her creative side, while David, who is still coming to terms with being gay, is tense at work and in his personal life. Each episode opens with a different death, and the series uses those farewells to explore relationships, infidelity, religion and the pain of living surrounded by other people's dead.
