What Season 3 of Sword Art Online
Kazuto Kirigaya, aka Kirito, works part-time at RATH, a company that wants to perfect the Soul Translator, an interface that interacts with the user's fluctlight. According to the contract, memories created in the virtual world are erased when they return to the real one, but Kirito vaguely retains a name, Alice, which unsettles him. One night, while walking Asuna home, he runs into an enemy from the SAO era, fights, and is badly wounded. When he wakes up, he finds himself completely submerged in the Underworld, with no apparent way out, and sets out to find the path back to the physical world. During his search, the protagonist discovers a world he doesn't recognize and crosses paths with Alice and Eugeo, while the story moves toward the Central Cathedral.
