What Season 1 of Velvet

Velvet premieres on 1958 at Galerías Velvet, a haute couture house on Madrid's Gran Vía owned by don Rafael Márquez. Ana has worked as a seamstress in the workshop since she was a girl and has a great passion for fashion and her craft. Alberto, heir to the family business, notices her, and between them grows a love story that is mutual but forbidden in a very rigid era. When Alberto returns from London, the past stirs up the family's tensions again. His father's death leaves him an inheritance to divide, secrets and a company on the brink of ruin. Alberto also gets engaged to Cristina, Gerardo's daughter, while still thinking about Ana. The series, created by Ramón Campos and Gema R. Neira, airs on Antena 3 and stars Paula Echevarría and Miguel Ángel Silvestre.

Alberto initially refuses, but when Ana learns of the deal, she breaks off their engagement and urges Alberto to marry Cristina if it will save Velvet. Alberto reluctantly agrees and becomes engaged to Cristina, while a heartbroken Ana prepares to leave Madrid for a new job out of town.
