Ammonite

Tells the story of a love affair in England in 1840 between paleontologist Mary Anning and Charlotte Murchison, a married woman. In the conservative British society of the 19th century, the acclaimed but unknown fossil hunter Mary Anning works alone in the south of the country. When her fame has long faded, she makes ends meet by selling fossils to tourists, until a wealthy visitor asks Mary to look after his wife. The relationship between the two women develops and takes an unexpected turn.
