Death Proof

Three friends, Arlene, Shanna and radio DJ Julia Lucai, known as "Jungle" Julia, are driving along Congress Avenue in Austin, Texas, on their way to celebrate Julia's birthday. Before they arrive, the group stops at a bar, where Julia reveals a surprise she has arranged over the airwaves. She announced on the radio a free erotic dance from Arlene in exchange for three conditions: that they call her Butterfly, that they buy her a drink, and that a passage from the poem "Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening" be recited. Among the customers is Mike, a veteran Hollywood stuntman who has followed the girls there and claims that dance for himself. The film is written and directed by Quentin Tarantino, and Kurt Russell plays Mike.
