I Am Legend

New York is empty. Robert Neville, a virologist with the U.S. Army, roams the deserted streets of a city overgrown with weeds every day, accompanied only by his dog, Sam. By day he goes out hunting and searching for signs of other survivors. When night falls, he locks himself in his shelter while the creatures that were once people wait outside. Every day he broadcasts messages over the radio, hoping to get an answer, though no one ever replies. Neville works in a lab to find a cure, convinced that his immune system may be the key. Directed by Francis Lawrence and starring Will Smith, the movie opens with images of a devastated city and a man who is holding on alone.
