If Only

Samantha (Jennifer Love Hewitt) is an American woman in love with her English boyfriend Ian (Paul Nicholls), with whom she lives in London. Ian also loves Sam, but he can't or doesn't know how to express what he feels. Sam is impulsive and unconventional. She studies violin at a music school and teaches young children. Ian is a young, focused and sensible executive. In Sam's opinion, the only thing Ian loves is his work. They have reached a crucial moment in their relationship: Sam wants Ian to express his feelings and commit, because otherwise she will very likely return to the United States, since she has finished her studies.
