TPSynopsis of Around the World with Willy Fog
Willy Fog is an English gentleman, depicted as a lion, who lives in London according to a strict schedule. One morning he realizes that the previous day he dismissed his valet because he couldn't keep up with his routines. He replaces him with Rigodón, a former circus performer, and the two head to the Reform Club. There, the members discuss the recent theft of 55,000 pounds from the Bank of England, until its governor, Mr. Sullivan, arrives. An article in the Morning Chronicle claims that it is now possible to travel around the world in eighty days. Willy bets half his fortune with the bank's director and other members that he will do it, departing from and returning to London within that time. To win the wager, he prepares the trip with Rigodón and his friend Tico. The series, created by Claudio Biern Boyd, aired on La 1 on TVE.
