What Season 5 of Lost

Season five, the penultimate season of Lost, premiered on January 21, 2009 with a two-part episode. Flashbacks and flashforwards take a back seat, and time travel is used to explain events that happened before Oceanic Flight 815 went down on September 22, 2004. The island's survivors begin to suffer the consequences of the island moving. Jack and Ben want to reunite the six Oceanic passengers and return to the island, while Locke works to stop the increasingly violent time jumps. To that end, he takes Sawyer, Juliet, Miles, Charlotte and Daniel Faraday to the La Orquídea station. Conflicts multiply: attacks on the beach, the custody of Aaron and tensions within the Dharma Initiative.
