What Season 8 of Midsomer Murders

This season follows Tom Barnaby, played by John Nettles, in Causton, the county town of Midsomer, a fictional county in England. From there, the Chief Inspector travels to peaceful, picturesque villages that hide more than one secret. The cases are very varied: a funeral home tied to a spiritualist church, a rowing club where a past affair and jealousy surface, a Christmas family reunion marked by an old grievance, and the mystery of a thoroughbred racehorse whose inheritance raises suspicions. Scott accompanies Barnaby on much of the investigation. The series blends intrigue with a heavy dose of dark humor.
