What Season 17 of Midsomer Murders

Midsomer, a fictional county in England whose capital is Causton, is once again the setting for murders in season 17. Chief Inspector Tom Barnaby, played by John Nettles, along with Nelson, arrives in each village to find out who the killer is and what the motive is. In the first episode, the lost work of a dead writer goes missing and a woman is electrocuted on a roulette wheel. Later, an act of magic costs the life of a pub owner and pits the religious villagers against the pagans. Further on, prophetic songs and a plate of deadly eggs and eels send the murder count soaring. Finally, part of the vineyards' harvest is found contaminated with poison.
