Trivia about Nicky Jam: El Ganador

Filming began on January 15, 2018, and production was handled by Endemol Shine Boomdog, which worked alongside Telemundo and Netflix.

The series reached Netflix before US TV: it premiered in Spain and Latin America on November 30, 2018, and in the United States on Telemundo almost ten months later.

Director Jessy Terrero explained that filming took place in Mexico, Medellín, Puerto Rico and New York, with a cast that combined professional actors, up-and-coming performers and people with no acting experience.

Nicky Jam plays himself as an adult, while Avery Rodríguez plays him as a child and Darkiel plays him as a teenager.

The series consists of 13 episodes and was created by Jessy Terrero and Jorge Dorantes, with Terrero also directing.

The cast includes appearances by urban music artists such as J Balvin, Daddy Yankee, Valentino, Ñengo Flow and De La Ghetto, playing themselves or other musicians.
