Synopsis of Euphoria

Rue Bennett returns home after spending a season in a rehab center and struggles to stay sober while searching for her place in the world. She is a teenager hooked on drugs who also serves as the narrator, which is how she knows intimate details about the people around her. The story takes place at the fictional East Highland High School in California, where a group of high school students face drugs, sex, identity, trauma, social media, love and friendship. Among them is Jules Vaughn, a trans girl who arrives in town with her father. Sam Levinson created the series, which HBO airs and which stars Zendaya as its lead.

Trivia about Euphoria

The premiere averaged 577 000 viewers in its time slot, a figure that rose to one million after the same night's live rebroadcast and viewing on HBO Go and Now.

HBO executive Francesca Orsi described the American version in a statement as a mix of Kids and Trainspotting, with no parental supervision.

Photographer Petra Collins worked on the series with Levinson for five months, after which HBO told her she was too young to direct.

Grant High School in Los Angeles plays East Highland High School in the fiction, according to the series' production.

The first season's makeup became a TikTok trend in 2020, with people recreating the series' looks.

The third season of "Euphoria" is set to premiere on April 12, 2026, after a four-year gap since the previous one, and will consist of eight episodes.

The new season adds Sharon Stone, Natasha Lyonne, Rosalía, Danielle Deadwyler, Marshawn Lynch, Eli Roth and Trisha Paytas, among other additions.
