Elle begins her final year of high school. Before Noah heads off to Harvard, a university in Boston, she reflects on the time they have spent together, while their classmates assume the couple will eventually split up. That fear grows when Elle sees on Instagram that Noah has become friends with Chloe, an attractive British girl. Meanwhile, Elle and Lee are setting up the kissing booth again for the school charity fair, and Lee tries to convince her of something she isn’t sure about. Directed by Vince Marcello, the film stars Joey King, Joel Courtney and Jacob Elordi.

Trivia about The Kissing Booth 2

In October 2020, Netflix reported that 66 million households watched the film during its first four weeks of release.

Robyn Bahr of The Hollywood Reporter wrote that the film is “mad stupid,” though she said it is not as openly criticizable as other low-budget Netflix teen comedies.

The movie was shot in Cape Town, Los Angeles and Boston, according to Wikidata.

Joey King wore a wig during filming because they had shaved their head to play their role in “The Act” (2019).

Maisie Richardson-Sellers and Taylor Zakhar Perez joined the cast as new additions in May 2019, while Meganne Young, Carson White and Molly Ringwald reprised their roles.

Taylor Zakhar Perez explained that they landed the role of Marco after several casting auditions and that the crew welcomed them during filming in Cape Town.

Joey King said they needed help from choreographers for the scenes featuring the dance video game Dance Dance Mania because they weren’t good at it.

Principal photography wrapped in August 2019, after shooting through the South African winter.
