Redeeming Love

Set in 1835 New England, the story follows Angela, a little girl who was rejected by her father because she was the product of an adulterous affair with her mother, Mae. From then on, the girl felt guilty for her mother's depression and her own abandonment, growing up with an obvious hatred of men, all of whom were obsessed with the gold fever of the era. As a teenager, Angela had to sell herself into prostitution to have a place to sleep. Amid that hatred, she meets Michael Hosea, a devout man who seems to cross her path to lead Angela to God's redeeming love, challenging, day after day, her bitter expectations and resistance. She doesn't believe she deserves anything more in life, anything that could truly make her happy.
