Trivia about Nip/Tuck

Ryan Murphy explained that the series was inspired by the makeover episodes of The Jenny Jones Show and The Oprah Winfrey Show.
In its first season, it was the most-watched new series on U.S. basic cable and the most-watched show in that cable network's history among viewers aged 18 to 49 and 25 to 54.
The final episode, number 100, was filmed on June 12, 2009 without Ryan Murphy, who at the time was in India scouting locations for his film Eat Pray Love.
In the United Kingdom, Channel 4 aired only the first two seasons before pulling the series from its schedule.
The third season ended with a double episode that drew roughly 5.3 million viewers and became the most-watched scripted broadcast in FX history up to that point.
The series won the Golden Globe for Best Television Series – Drama in its first season.
The fourth season averaged 3.9 million viewers, the highest figure for the entire series, according to data cited when analyzing its run.
The Parents Television Council called for the series to be pulled from the air and promoted an advertiser boycott after a sex scene it considered contrary to its standards of decency.
