Synopsis of Physics or Chemistry: The Reunion

Nine years after Zurbarán high school closed, much of the old group of friends gathers at a hotel to attend Yoli's wedding. There they run into their former teachers, who have come to find out how their former students' lives have turned out. Amid toasts and conversations, the main characters revisit their best and worst moments and begin to notice that the passing of time has worn down some of the bonds that once united them. Andrea Duro plays Yoli, and the cast is completed by Maxi Iglesias, Adam Jezierski, Angy Fernández, Javier Calvo, Leonor Martín, Adrián Rodríguez and Sandra Blázquez. The miniseries streams on Atresplayer Premium and offers a chance to reconnect and relive the past, raising the question of whether those bonds have survived the years.

Trivia about Physics or Chemistry: The Reunion

Ana Milán and Maxi Iglesias were the first confirmed cast members, reprising their roles as Olimpia and Cabano from the original series.

José Lamuño joined the cast to play Oriol, a new character in the series' universe.

Ruth and Blanca, characters from the original series, never appear on screen, although their actresses Úrsula Corberó and Cecilia Freire are among the names fans have been missing.

Filming for the two episodes began on September 7, 2020 and was finished by the end of that same month.

Montse García, Atresmedia TV's head of fiction, said during the presentation that Montero could not take part due to an exclusivity contract with Netflix.

After complaints from Carlos Montero about not being credited in the opening titles, the producers corrected the oversight and credited the writer as the creator of the characters in the final episode.

The first episode was the first nationwide trending topic and reached seventh place in the global ranking during its premiere, with 14 distinct trends and 42,000 tweets generated.

José Lamuño had already auditioned for the original series, then titled «Empezar de cero», but was not chosen because his age and height did not fit the profile being sought.
