Synopsis of The Boss

Eliseo is the superintendent of a luxury building in the Barrancas de Belgrano neighborhood of Buenos Aires, where he has worked for thirty years. Charming on the surface, he moves with the discretion of someone who knows every neighbor's secrets and never hesitates to get involved in their affairs. When the building board, led by Dr. Zambrano, decides to do away with his services to build a recreational area with a pool on the rooftop, right where Eliseo lives, he is not willing to lose his job. Guillermo Francella plays the doorman in this Argentine dramedy created by Mariano Cohn and Gastón Duprat for Star+, now Disney+.

Trivia about The Boss

In Latin America the series aired on Star+, while in the United States it arrived on Hulu and in Europe on Disney+.

Disney+ announced the development of Zambrano, the first spinoff of the series, in April 2026, with Gabriel Goity as Matías Zambrano.

The series received 16 nominations for the Martín Fierro Awards and won seven of them.

The production was handled by Pegsa Group, announced in June 2021.

The fourth season premiered on May 1, 2026 on Disney+ and added Arturo Puig as the president of the nation, along with the return of Manuel Vicente and Gastón Cocchiarale.

The fourth season was renewed after becoming the most-watched series over the weekend of its Disney+ Argentina premiere.

The portrayal of Eliseo as an amoral, manipulative building superintendent sparked criticism from unions and building workers' associations, who accused the show of stigmatizing their profession.

The second season added María Abadi as Lucila Morris and Martín Slipak as Eliseo's nephew, and featured guest appearances by Diego Torres, Eugenia Suárez and Rusherking.
