Z Nation

Three years after a virus wiped out most of humanity, zombies dominate the planet and survivors eke out an existence in small shelters. Before the collapse, Alvin Bernard Murphy was one of three inmates at Portsmouth Naval Prison in Maine who volunteered for a government experiment with experimental vaccines. His two companions died after the injection, but Murphy survived being bitten by zombies, and now his body could be humanity's last hope. Lieutenant Roberta Warren and Simon “Citizen Z” Cruller, an NSA hacker with almost unlimited access to radios and computers, lead a group of survivors with military experience. Their mission is to transport Murphy from New York to the last functioning CDC laboratory, in California. Along the way, Murphy harbors a dark secret about his condition that puts everyone at risk. Created by Karl Schaefer and Craig Engler and aired on Syfy, the series stars Keith Allan, Kellita Smith and DJ Qualls in its main cast.
