Wendy Christensen, a high school student, celebrates her graduation at an amusement park in Pennsylvania. There she is joined by her classmates, including her boyfriend Jason Wise, her best friend Carrie Dreyer, and Kevin Fischer, a friend of them both. The group gets ready to ride Devil's Flight, the park's roller coaster, and the night seems like just another party. However, just as the ride is about to start, Wendy has a premonition that leaves her paralyzed: she clearly sees that something is going to go wrong during the ride. Her fear of losing control clashes with her friends' carefree attitude, and she will have to decide what to do with what she has just seen. The film is directed by James Wong and stars Mary Elizabeth Winstead.

It's not only horrible, but can you feel, can you feel how vicious it was?
It's never better staying ignorant. Willful ignorance is surrendering control.
A roller coaster is just elemental physics, a conversion of potential energy to kinetic energy.
They say the real fear with these rides comes from the feeling of having no control.
You can run, but you cannot hide. This is the beginning of the end.
I'll meet you at the end.
