Only God Forgives

In Bangkok, Julian runs a Thai boxing club that serves as a front for a powerful drug trafficking network. He is respected in the city's criminal underworld, though deep down he feels alone. His brother Billy shares the business and his life in Thailand with him. Julian tries to keep a balance between the sporting facade and the illegal operations that sustain his position. But that balance begins to crumble when his mother, the head of a large criminal organization, arrives from the United States and puts the whole family under pressure. Directed by Nicolas Winding Refn, the film stars Ryan Gosling as Julian and Kristin Scott Thomas as his mother.
