Stuck in Love

Bill Borgens is a divorced novelist who also teaches classes. Two years ago, his wife, Erica, left him for another man, and he has not been able to move on. Instead of sitting down to write, he goes running around the neighborhood under the excuse of exercise, though in reality he is watching the couple she has formed. His children live with him, and both feel the pressure of a family of writers. Rusty, the teenage son, is unpopular and secretly in love with his classmate Kate. Sam, the college-age daughter, is cynical and prefers one-night stands to any real relationship. Bill realizes he has not written in a long time, and the silence in his study is starting to weigh on him more than Erica's absence.
