The Boy

Greta is a young American woman who takes a job as a nanny in a village in the United Kingdom. She arrives at an old country house where, at first, no one seems to be home, so she decides to explore it. In the living room she finds a family portrait of the owners of the house, the Heelshire couple, and their young son, who looks no older than eight. Shortly after, the Heelshires introduce her to the person she will have to look after: Brahms, a doll they treat as if he were their real son. Before leaving on vacation, they explain how she must care for Brahms and the house, and make it clear that she must follow their instructions to the letter. The film is directed by William Brent Bell and stars Lauren Cohan.
