Synopsis of Archer

Archer is an adult animated series created by Adam Reed for the FX network. It is set in New York City, at the ISIS espionage agency, the International Secret Intelligence Service. Sterling Archer, a charismatic and deeply self-centered agent voiced by H. Jon Benjamin, lives there with his mother, Malory Archer, the domineering head of the agency, and his ex-girlfriend, field agent Lana Kane. Coworkers round out the cast: agent Ray Gillette, accountant Cyril Figgis, and human resources director Pam Poovey. Each one fights to get ahead of the others, and personal tensions mix with the agency's assignments.

Trivia about Archer

After Frisky Dingo was canceled in 2008, Adam Reed went on a vacation to Spain to look for ideas. His experience in Salamanca's Plaza Mayor helped him conceive Archer.
Judy Greer agreed to join Archer because they wanted to get into voice acting, although at first they thought the show was too provocative for basic cable television.
During its first four seasons, Archer had no composer and used a library music compilation. Starting with the seventh season, the jazz-tinged soundtrack was handled by JG Thirlwell.
The standard opening sequence of Archer has had six versions. Holman cited Catch Me If You Can, The Incredibles, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, and the work of Saul Bass as influences.
The series' production brings together 150 specialized artists from Floyd County Productions, four times as many as worked on its first season.
The pilot aired as a test screening on September 17, 2009, and wasn't even listed in the schedules or promoted by the network.
FX announced that the fourteenth season of "Archer" would be the last. It premiered on August 30, 2023 on FXX with two episodes and later moved to Hulu.
Following the fourteenth season finale, FX premiered "Archer: Into the Cold" on December 17, 2023, a three-part special that served as the series' definitive conclusion.
