Sean Boswell is a 17-year-old car and racing enthusiast, and the trouble his passion gets him into has forced him to move several times. In Oro Valley, Arizona, he gets into a street fight with a high school classmate, and each of them drives his own car. The race ends with both vehicles wrecked. To avoid jail time, Sean has to leave the country and live in Tokyo with his separated father, a U.S. Navy lieutenant stationed there. He arrives in a city he doesn't know, and the only thing that seems to interest him is still getting behind the wheel. Justin Lin directs the film, and Lucas Black plays Sean.
