Synopsis of Coroner
Jenny Cooper is a recently widowed medical examiner who works in Toronto. Before moving into forensic medicine, she worked as an emergency room doctor, but the sudden death of her husband has left her deeply shaken. Her job involves examining bodies and determining whether a death is natural, accidental or suspicious. Alongside homicide detective Donovan McAvoy, she tries to uncover the truth behind these cases and prove what others have written off as closed. Meanwhile, her teenage son Ross struggles with anxiety and grief over the loss of his father, and Jenny must find a way to support him without neglecting her work. Created by Morwyn Brebner based on the novels by M. R. Hall, the series airs on CBC and stars Serinda Swan.
