What Season 5 of Everybody Loves Raymond

Season 5 kicks off with a surprise from Marie: she pays for the whole family to take a two-week vacation in Italy. Everyone happily accepts, except Ray, who resists traveling in a sour mood. During the trip, the heat, the pace set by his mother and Ray's pessimism test Debra's patience. Meanwhile, Robert meets Stefania and finds himself facing a father who doesn't look kindly on the relationship. Frank has a wonderful time, and Ray ends up enjoying the scenery, though not thanks to Marie. Back home, the parents' meddling and Robert's romantic misadventures keep causing trouble, and Debra once again carries much of the household and the kids' load.
