Synopsis of I Love Lucy

Lucy Ricardo is a middle-class housewife who lives in a New York City apartment building with her husband, Ricky Ricardo, a singer and bandleader. Their best friends and landlords are Fred and Ethel Mertz, former vaudeville performers. Lucy is naive and ambitious, and dreams of stardom. She wants to break into show business and often tries to appear alongside Ricky at his nightclub, but she feels left out because her involvement in the business is limited compared to her husband's and the Mertzes'. Her schemes often get her and Ricky into trouble. The comedy stars Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz, and aired on CBS from 1951 to 1957.
