Synopsis of My Brilliant Friend
Naples, 1950s. Elena Greco and Raffaella Cerullo, whom everyone calls Lila, grow up in a poor neighborhood of the city, where every family struggles to get ahead. The series follows the special bond between them from childhood, marked by complicity and by the tensions that arise as they try to find their place in an environment that leaves them little room. The story revolves around that relationship, their conflicts, and what each of them wants to become. Created by Saverio Costanzo and based on the first novel by Elena Ferrante, the series airs on Rai 1 and HBO. In the first season, Elena is played by Elisa Del Genio and Lila by Ludovica Nasti.
«A friendship that defined a lifetime.»
