What Season 1 of Star Trek: The Next Generation

In the late 24th century, the Enterprise NCC-1701-D leaves Earth with a new crew under the command of Captain Jean-Luc Picard, played by Patrick Stewart. Its mission is to explore the Alpha and Beta quadrants of the Milky Way and make contact with unknown civilizations through diplomacy and, only when there's no other option, combat. The first obstacle comes in the form of Q, a visitor who can complicate everything. Then the ship faces a disease that leaves it adrift, the Ferengi, and a desert planet that sends out distress messages. Picard, more of an intellectual than the typical science fiction captain, leads Data, Riker, Troi, Worf and Wesley Crusher.
