What Season 6 of Star Trek: The Next Generation

Season six opens with the Enterprise crew trying to rescue Data, who is trapped in 19th-century San Francisco. Picard, Riker, Beverly, Deanna and Geordi travel to the city's past to find out what lies behind the events. From there, the episodes spread the dilemmas between old acquaintances and new threats: the all-powerful Q once again tests the captain, and writer Mark Twain enters the story. Picard, with a more intellectual side, must also face a temporal command that puts the crew under strain. Worf searches for news of his father among the survivors of Khitomer, while Data begins to dream without understanding why.
