Synopsis of The Time It Takes

Lina has a clear idea: turn the page as soon as possible and start from scratch. She has just moved into a new apartment, is looking for work and signs up for things she's never tried before. Behind that drive is a less visible goal: to forget Nico, her first love. Her first love is still very much on her mind. Every day she resolves to make the time she spends thinking about him one minute shorter, so she can move forward with her life. Nadia de Santiago plays Lina and Álvaro Cervantes plays Nico in this Spanish Netflix production, also created by De Santiago.

Trivia about The Time It Takes

The fiction offers a distinctive, creative format, with ten episodes of 11 minutes each.

In October 2020, Netflix announced its new Spanish original projects for the upcoming season, and The Time It Takes was one of them.

Filming for the production took place in Madrid and Andalusia, the two locations where the series was shot.

The series was nominated for the Feroz Award for Best Drama Series at the 2022 ceremony.

Nadia de Santiago, who plays Lina, is also the series creator.

The first scene that Nadia de Santiago and Álvaro Cervantes shot together was at La Poza, in episode nine of the series.

The series didn't make it into Netflix Spain's Top 10 during its first week, a ranking the analysis attributed to its short episodes and its Friday release.
