What Season 1 of Young Sheldon
Texas, 1989. Sheldon Cooper is nine years old and has a mind capable of mastering advanced math and science, but in East Texas, where church and football rule, that talent doesn't get him very far. He starts at Medford High School alongside his older brother Georgie, who is less brilliant than he is, and he has to fit in among classmates who don't understand him. At home, his deeply religious mother, Mary, clashes with his scientific skepticism every day, while his father, George, does his best to understand him. The series shows how the boy learns to navigate the world and how an ordinary family learns to live with him.
