Learning on the Margins

Reilly Dolman was born in Vancouver on March 29, 1988. Their entry into the Canadian film industry was quiet and without major marketing campaigns behind it. They started out in productions seeking young faces for supporting roles in genre stories.

In 2010, he appeared in Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief. It was a brief role, but it gave him a close look at how a Hollywood blockbuster works. That same year, he shot Flicka 2 and the TV movie Bond of Silence.

There was no red carpet.

They passed through series like Stargate Universe and Supernatural in episodic roles. On those shoots, they learned to be a dependable supporting actor. The real change, however, didn't come until science fiction knocked on their door more seriously.

Philip Pearson's Big Break

In 2016, they joined the cast of Travelers. They played Philip Pearson for three full seasons. Appeared in a total of 34 episodes until the series was canceled in 2018. Their character was a historian with a complex addiction, which required them to work through very specific physical records.

And the plan worked.

The series was shot entirely in Canada and distributed worldwide. That project brought him a level of visibility he hadn't actively sought. Reilly has always preferred to keep a low profile off camera (he avoids social media and personal interviews whenever he can).

The Years of Steady Work

In 2020, she appeared in the movie The Gift of Christmas. It was a smaller-scale project compared to her earlier TV work, but it allowed her to stay active in the local industry in Vancouver without having to move to Los Angeles.

In 2022, they joined the cast of Charmed to play Shey. Their involvement was limited to a multi-episode arc during the fourth season. Filming took place at British Columbia studios under very strict production protocols.

Their career is defined more by consistency than by sudden spikes in fame. The syndication contract for their television work ensures their presence on screens around the world for the next decade.

Production of their Charmed episodes during 2022 involved a technical crew of more than one hundred people on the Vancouver sets.
