It was the last day of school in 1976, a time they would never forget... if only they could remember.

Much like George Lucas did in "American Graffiti" twenty years earlier, Linklater portrays the last day of school for a group of high school students in 1976. A party fueled by beer, marijuana and hazing on a single day for the guys who are leaving forever and for the freshmen who have just arrived.
