Synopsis of Lore

Lore is a horror anthology created by Aaron Mahnke, author of the podcast of the same name, which streams on Amazon Prime Video. Each episode tells a new story and explains where the legends behind it come from. To do so, the series mixes documentary footage, dramatized scenes, animation, archival material and voice-over narration. Its main cast includes Robert Patrick, Holland Roden and Colm Feore. The premise is that monsters such as vampires, werewolves or body snatchers have roots in real events, and the series traces those origins story by story. Each tale is backed by real footage and recreated scenes, so viewers see what lies behind each legend before the fiction takes over.
