Synopsis of Prodigal Son
Malcolm Bright is a former FBI profiler who works for the New York Police Department. He has a rare gift: he sees crimes from the killer's perspective, which lets him spot details that his colleagues miss. That gift torments him, because he fears he has inherited the same sociopathic tendencies as his father, Martin Whitly, a renowned cardiothoracic surgeon known as “The Surgeon” after committing 23 murders. Malcolm was the one who alerted the police as a child, and since then he has changed his name and has not seen his father in ten years. The series airs on FOX, was created by Chris Fedak and Sam Sklaver, and stars Tom Payne. Every case he solves forces him to face what he has been trying to escape.
