England. At a family home, Daniel and his wife Jane live with his parents on the day the patriarch, Edward, is laid to rest. Daniel takes charge of organizing every detail of the funeral, while the couple plans to buy an apartment and move away from his parents' house. Director Frank Oz won the audience award at the US Comedy Arts Festival and also at the Locarno International Film Festival.

The film was shot at Ealing Studios in London and screened at the European Film Market in February 2007, before its theatrical release.

Critic Ruthe Stein of the San Francisco Chronicle compared it to the classic black-and-white films starring Peter Sellers or Alec Guinness.

Frank Oz said the shoot lasted seven weeks and that the cast embraced his improvisation proposals, even though he expected the British actors would prefer to stick to the script.
