You Never Forget Your First Love

Dawson Cole works on an oil rig off the coast of Louisiana, far from his loved ones. After an accident at sea, he starts to recover and receives an assignment from Tuck, a close friend who acted as a father figure to him. That assignment forces him to return to the town where he grew up, something he hasn't done in almost two decades. There, he runs into memories he thought he had left behind. The movie alternates these scenes with others set in 1992, when Dawson and Amanda were high school sweethearts. Directed by Michael Hoffman, it stars James Marsden, with Michelle Monaghan as Amanda.
