Quills

France, 18th century. The Marquis de Sade spends the last ten years of his life at the Charenton asylum. There he forms a friendship with Abbé Coulmier, with whom he shares the affection of Madeleine, the asylum's laundress. When Napoleon sends a doctor to cure his alleged madness, the marquis's rebellious temperament only grows stronger. It earned three Oscar nominations, including Best Actor (Geoffrey Rush).
