Dare to go back?

One hour after the Barcelona building is declared infected, four GEOS agents arrive at its door along with health inspector Owen. The officers wear helmet-mounted cameras and are heavily armed. They have been given a mission that isn't entirely clear, even to them. They must find out what has happened to the tenants, victims of a contagious virus that has turned them violent. Inside the building, the team moves forward with their cameras rolling, not entirely sure what awaits them. Manuela Velasco is part of the cast of this sequel, directed by Jaume Balagueró and Paco Plaza.

Trivia about [REC]²

Filming began on November 10, 2008 and wrapped on December 24 after six weeks in the building where the first film was shot.

Pablo Rosso, the film's only camera operator during production, returns in the sequel playing a new cameraman who shares his surname.

In Spain, it reached number 1 at the box office and posted the best opening weekend of the year for a Spanish film.

Little White Lies magazine gave it four stars out of five and called it "the best zombie sequel since Dawn of the Dead."

In New Zealand, the 7,500 New Zealand dollar marketing budget was used to build a website, and the remaining 5,000 dollars were to be awarded to whoever generated the most positive publicity.

"[REC]²" won four Gaudí Awards in 2010 for editing, sound, special or digital effects, and makeup and hairstyling; it was also nominated for a Goya for Best Special Effects.

The film was shown out of competition at the Venice Film Festival on September 2, 2009, in a midnight screening.
