Simon is staying in a brothel when he receives a call from his wife: their son has just been born. The news leaves him torn, because instead of going to the hospital, he stays where he is. There he meets an elderly naked woman, who assures him that people are born to suffer and advises him not to go near the child. Meanwhile, the movie follows other characters with physical deformities, who face social exclusion, lack of money and isolation. Each one tries to find their place in a world that doesn't make life easy for them because of how they look, and their paths begin to cross from the very first moment.
