1000 Ways to Die

An anthology series that recreates unusual deaths, some based on real events and others on urban legends. Each story reveals the location and date where it occurred, is assigned a death number and a short title that usually works as a pun. A narration with a dark comedic tone introduces each case while the recreations alternate with interviews with experts who explain why each death happened: doctors, toxicologists, psychologists, trainers, and even dancers and strippers, whose experience offers a different perspective. Created by Thom Beers and aired on Spike TV, the series explores how a person can die from germs, toxins, injuries, diseases, or disasters, and blends science, chance, and bad luck in every episode.
